Project Video
Series Overview
In this series I’ll be covering how to model a number of woodworking techniques in Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Part One (This Video): Modeling the box, bottom, and lid. Covers rabbets, grooves and miters.
- Part Two: Adding splines to reinforce the miters, modeling the thumb grip, and making the lid open and close using joints in Fusion.
- Part Three: Applying wood materials, selecting the best grain, and photorealistic rendering
- Part Four: Creating printable plans and an exploded view from the model

IMPORTANT: I took an approach that jumps right in to the tutorial without doing an overview of the interface, menus, and toolbars. If you are completely new to Fusion 360 you may want to quickly read through this section on their website.
