Table Saw

SawStop JSS-MCA Jobsite Saw with Mobile Cart

Since I earn a living writing code (with my hands) my wife wanted me to have a saw that wouldn’t cut my fingers off. Embarrassed to say, only one month into owning this and it paid for itself. Even with all the safety guards on, and after I turned the saw off, I tried to free the workpiece and slid my finger back into the blade (Amateur move). A bandaid was all I needed since the brake deployed and saved the tip of my finger (and a costly hospital trip).

Craftsman 12" Band Saw

The saw is over 30 years old. I picked it up from a friend for $150. I upgrade the belt to the Harbor Frieght V-belt. It works great, and is one of the most useful tools in my shop.

I use this on almost every project. For the price, it works great and does what I need. I have mine setup with a custom table I built for it.

Router + Router Table

By itself the router isn’t a large tool, but with the router table I built – it takes up some room, so I’m listing it here. The table sits at the same height as my workbench/outfeed table. So with the router below the table it gives me extra work area.
