About the Project

After seeing Tyson Moore’s amazing mallets for a few weeks, I decided to try my hand at building one. I followed the steps from his website and then carved my logo in the handle. Be sure to give Tyson a follow on Instagram to keep up with his projects.

Tools and Materials

Wood: Hickory (Given to me by Jay Bates)
Finish: 4:1 ratio of Mineral Oil and Beeswax (Sourced locally from 3 Bee Farms)
Tools Used: Bandsaw, Table Saw, Jointer, Rasps, Files, Hand Planes
